8 Tips To Maximize Replies And Land Tons Of Deals šŸ’°

1#: Ensure you look professional - one of the first things they will see is your email address. Make sure it is something professional and, ideally, your own domain. Nab yourself a cheapie domain and send your pitches from [email protected]!

2#: Donā€™t overwhelm them - you want to keep the content of your email concise and to the point, ideally 80 words or less. People are more willing to respond if they quickly understand how you can help them achieve their goals:

  • Highlight why youā€™d be a good fit for the brand, address their pain points, and paint your work as a solution.

  • Provide something valuable, such as potential content ideas or hooks.

3#: Be careful about showing your rates - generally brands donā€™t need it in your initial email. Focus on the connection as your primary priority; money chats can come later! You can do either include them within your portfolio or site or first, understand the brand's budget to maximize the brand deal. Up to you!

4#: Pitch the right person - this means researching before pitching to find the name and email of the influencer marketing manager or the social media manager. You can head to LinkedIn or try out Movigā€™s free tool, where we find the right point person and their email at your desired brands.

5#: End with a clear, direct call to action - this should be in the form of a question to get a response, such as, ā€œCan I send some content ideas your way?ā€ or ā€œAre you looking for organic/ad content?ā€. Make it easy and low effort for the brand. DONā€™T ASK FOR A CALL IN YOUR FIRST PITCH!

6#: Make pitching a consistent practice - if you send 50 pitch emails, youā€™re more likely to get more responses than if you only send 10. It is a bit of a numbers game (along with nailing your pitch email, of course.)

Ā» Check out Movigā€™s pitch guide to learn about best practices and see how to nail your pitch strategy!

7#: Pitch warm leads - you can warm up brands by following and interacting with them on socials and connecting with the decision-makers (who you will ultimately pitch) on LinkedIn.

8#: Avoid your email landing in spam - all of the above is great, but useless if your email gets jailed in their spam folder. Here are a few ways to avoid that:

  • Keep your subject line on point and clear

  • Have immaculate spelling and grammar

  • Make sure itā€™s personalized

  • Keep the formatting simple

  • Limit hyperlinks
