7 Tips to Create Long-Lasting Relationships
Brand Contacts Giveaway 🚀
Hi there,
Lately, at Movig, we’ve been thinking about the impact of nurturing brands to create long-lasting relationships with them.
By putting yourself out there and communicating with brands, you also help build a continuous pool of warm leads (a must for successful creators!) and increase your likelihood of getting retainer work. We love this, as it lowers your output while increasing your input!

7 Tips To Create Long-Lasting Relationships
1#: Follow them on socials using your UGC account. That’s the first quickest and most important thing to do to build a relationship with a brand. You won’t be credible otherwise!
2#: Subscribe to any lead magnets (e-guides, webinars, etc) and newsletters they create. Check out their free media to learn more about them as a brand.
3#: Engage, engage, engage. Imagine a dream brand recognizing your face/handle when you comment. If they're looking for UGC creators, you’re more likely to be at the top of their mind!
4#: Track down the decision makers and connect with them on LinkedIn. Depending on the company's size, this could be the CEO, the influencer marketing manager, or the social media manager.
5#: If you like them, shop with them. This allows you to be more specific in your engagement and future potential pitches and conversations.
6#: Use their products as a UGC spec piece for your socials or portfolio. If they check out your content, they’ll see that you’re an avid lover of the brand and get an idea of how you would showcase their products.
7#: After the pitch, follow up and express gratitude. Make the primary focus of your communication centered on providing value and appreciation for the brand, such as how much they’ve grown in x amount of time compared to their competitors, why you love their products, etc.

How Do I Set Myself For Success?
Be authentic - this means only engaging with brands you like and are happy to give your approval to. If you’re a fashion creator, would you rep Shein? Zara? Uniqlo? Make sure the connection to the brand is legit.
Engage meaningfully - go beyond dropping emojis and a mere “so cute” for the umpteenth time. If you’ve used their products, this is one way to get specific with your engagement.
Understand their audience and what makes them tick. Do your research! Look out who follows them and what their interests, lifestyle, and demographics are.
Be relentless! Not in an annoying way, of course. But merely consistent to feed that steady flow of warm leads. Don’t spam them with meaningless comments on every post, but show up regularly in an authentic way and often enough that the brand may start to recognize your face/name (1-2 times a week).
Don’t pigeonhole yourself. Engage with brands of varying sizes and niches (within your desire). Where you are as a creator today will not be where you are in a year. So, putting yourself on the radar of larger brands as a smaller UGC creator is still worthwhile; just don’t expect results tomorrow. 😉
